Websites
Built, hosted, backed up, kept secure, and changed when you ask. Open to any local business — you don't have to be a home service company, and you don't have to buy anything else.
Who I'll build for
Anybody local. The Google Maps work is specialised — it's built around service-area businesses, because those are the ones customers search for by location. The website side has no such limit. Retail, a chiropractic practice, a shop, an accountant, a church: if you're a local business and you need a site, that's a yes.
It's also the honest answer when Local Visibility isn't the right fit. If your grid scan comes back clean and there's nothing for me to improve on Maps, I'm not going to invent a problem — but I'll still build you a site if that's what you actually need.
What you get
- A site built for you, not a template with your logo dropped in the corner
- Fast on a phone. Most of your visitors are standing outside holding one
- Hosting, backups and security, handled — not a bill you get separately from somebody else
- Your Google reviews shown on the page, pulled live
- Tap-to-call, a contact form that lands in your inbox, and directions
- Changes when you ask, by text, to the person who built it
No star ratings faked into search results. There's a piece of code that makes review stars appear under your listing in Google's results. It's against Google's rules for the kind of reviews a local business collects, and it draws manual penalties. Some builders add it because it looks impressive in a demo. It doesn't go on your site. More on what I won't do.
What it runs on
Static site on Cloudflare. Practically speaking that means it loads fast, it doesn't have a database that can be hacked, there's no plugin that breaks itself at 2am, and hosting costs almost nothing — which is part of why the monthly is what it is.
You're not locked in. Everything can be moved to your own Cloudflare account, on your card, with your domain, and I'll do that handover whenever you want it. Never GoDaddy.
Owning it outright
If you'd rather not have a monthly at all, there's a buyout: you own the site, it moves to your account, and the domain transfer is written on the invoice as its own line so there's no ambiguity about who holds what. I'll walk you through the setup once. Pricing here.
If you already have a site
Bring it. I've taken over sites mid-disaster before — the most recent one had been offline for two weeks on a lapsed hosting plan nobody was watching. That story's here. Rescue, rebuild, or take over maintenance on something that's fine as it is: all three are normal.
Before you ask
Do I have to buy the Google Maps service too?
No. Websites are sold on their own. If you're a home service business I'll probably mention that the Maps work is where the calls come from, because it's true, but it isn't a condition of anything.
Who owns the domain?
You do, or you will. If it's currently registered by a previous web company I'll help you get it moved into your own name. That's yours regardless of what happens between us.
How many changes are included?
Normal ones, as they come up — new phone number, updated hours, a service added, a photo swapped, seasonal copy. A full redesign or a new section is a separate quote, and I'll tell you which one you're asking for before I start.
What if I want to leave?
Buy it out and take it with you, or just stop. There's no contract that traps you and nothing gets held hostage. That's in writing on the promises page.
How long does a build take?
Depends on the size and on how fast you get me your content — photos and copy are usually the bottleneck, not the build. I take on a limited number of builds at a time and I'd rather give you a real date than a flattering one.
Let me show you where you stand. Then you decide.
Tell me your business name and I'll run your Maps snapshot — free, nothing to sign. You'll see exactly where you show up, who's ahead of you, and why.
