Humble & Kingwood
Google Business Profile management and websites for home service businesses in Humble, Kingwood, Atascocita and the north Houston metro.
A completely different problem to Polk County
Up here you are not competing with three people. You're competing with everybody who can drive twenty minutes, plus a fair number of businesses using a virtual address to appear closer than they are, plus national outfits with a local phone number.
Which means two things. The work is harder and takes longer, so the rate is higher — and the payoff is bigger, because the jobs are worth more and the search volume is a different order of magnitude.
Proximity is brutal in a metro
Google weights how close a business is to the person searching, heavily. In Livingston that barely matters because there's nobody else. In Humble and Kingwood it means your rank can collapse two miles from your address while looking perfect from your own parking lot.
You can't move your shop. What you can do is everything else — categories, services, review volume, activity, consistent information — well enough to hold position further out than your proximity alone would earn. That is genuinely most of what the retainer is doing here.
Atascocita, Porter, New Caney, the Woodlands edge
Most operators in this area serve a wide spread and rank in a small part of it. The grid scan makes the gap visible, and it's usually the first time an owner has seen their business the way a customer in the next subdivision sees it.
Expect a longer timeline than a rural market. Sixty to ninety days is the honest window before rank moves meaningfully, and in a competitive metro it's nearer the far end of that. Reviews start arriving well before the map does.
What it costs here
Humble, Kingwood and the wider metro sit at the higher of my two rates, for the reasons above — more competitors, harder ground, and a longer road to a result.
| Humble, Kingwood & Houston | To start | Monthly | Quarterly — saves $100 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Website Care Built, hosted, maintained. Any local business. |
$1,200 build | $195 | — |
| Local Visibility Google profile run every month. Home services. |
$1,200 setup | $650 | $1,850 |
| Both together Everything above, one invoice. $20 under buying them apart. |
$1,200 setup | $825 | $2,375 |
No contracts on any of it. The setup is one-time and covers the month-one rebuild — profile, citation cleanup, review sequence, tags, baseline scan. It can be split across the first quarter. What it pays for.
Owning the site outright with no monthly is $1,900, moved to your own account, domain transfer itemised.
Be honest with yourself about the timeline here. If you need the phone ringing next month, this isn't it and I'd rather say so now. Ninety days is the realistic window in a metro, and the reviews arrive well before the map does.
